I take the kids to the creek and bring a palette of watercolour paints to paint rocks...you can leave them there or hide them for the "fairies", you can do it naked, you can clean off in the water after all is said and done, it's free and it's not in my house. I even confess to taking some kids to do it for one of the kids birthday party's...( I am also a birthday party haterator) afterwords I also confess to passing out oreo cookies with whip cream from a can on them instead of cake...no plates, no mess.
